We are living in a digital world where almost everyone owns a personal digital device, the smartphone. Different tech giants release a new and updated phone every now and then to facilitate the users with some incredible features.
Among the leading smartphone, companies are Google, Apple, and Samsung.
Users with the amount of convenience they have, fail to learn about the struggles companies go through to add specifications to their smart devices. Of course, an enhanced user experience will cost them a significant amount, but they must keep track of the back-end issues as well.
Behind the Scenes
Google and Apple, the most known tech companies, were earlier on friendly terms, so much so that Google’s founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page considered Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs as their mentor and guide.
Sometimes they were even spotted chit-chatting at places reflecting a good partnership. About a decade and a half ago, the two leaders of the tech world were partners, with Eric Schmidt, Google’s CEO at that time, being a member of Apple’s Board of Committee.

Google Maps, in 2005 was known to occupy a significant place on Apple’s iPhones which further reflected their friendly arrangement in the business environment. Moreover, in the same year.
A deal was signed between the two to set Google in browser safaris as the default browsing engine on Apple’s Mac computers.
Soon after, in 2007, Apple’s first smartphone, the iPhone, was launched which again allowed Google to install its search engine as default. From this point onwards, things started to get rough between the two giants.
Every company at some point in time competes with other companies in the industry in order to expand and generate huge profits. So did Google.
Things escalated quite rapidly when Google decided to expand its services and launched its own operating system in 2008.
Striking the iPhone Operating System directly, it announced the release of the Android Operating System and went from being a major partner to the biggest rival in the digital world.
The Events that Followed
It was reported that Google’s then CEO, Eric Schmidt, had also resigned from Apple’s committee in the following year. Of course, they had to part ways considering their inevitable growth and innovative ideas.
It continued as they both threw challenges at each other in the form of new features in their operating systems. For instance, Android has a Play Store for the installation of mobile apps while iOS has an App Store for the purpose.
The guide and assistant operator Siri in iPhones compete with Google Assistant. Similarly, there are many similar features the two operating systems offer to provide an exceptional user experience. However, the choice remains with the consumers which one they most prefer.
However, these two dominant companies of the world, being interdependent, needed to sign an agreement because they needed much more than a competition to grow.

Intensive Competition
Google has always been an intense competitor of the raved Facebook’s rapid-growing advertisement business. Recently, a deal between Google and Apple to preset Google’s flagship search engine on Apple devices’ Safari browser.
In other words, every time users search for something on the browser; they will automatically be fed results from Google alongside related advertisements. Within a short span of time, Google was able to spread its products on billions of devices with this deal.
It is not surprising that around half of all Google searches are made from Apple devices, due to the strong connection between the two service providers.
With the strong link between the two service providers, it is no surprise that about half of the Google searches are from devices made by Apple.
Both entities were greatly benefitting from the deal as, firstly mutual adjustments were made in the results from Safari, Spotlight, and Siri.
Though Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, was not very happy with Microsoft’s performance in its voice assistant service.
Secondly, Apple’s skyrocketing target of reaching an annual profit figure of $50 billion by the year 2020 made it possible for both to make huge revenues.
Apple’s permission to provide Google results to its users helped Google attain money that which accounted for 15% to 20% of Apple’s annual profits.
A Love-Hate Relationship
Throughout the following decade, the public was hearing news of collaboration and cooperation that stated. Apple will be renting a site to Google, Google made huge profits, Apple is exhibiting its most captivating products, and so on.

Albeit the two great companies of the Silicon Valley compete wildly in terms of devices and services. The exactly know how to come on good terms for their interests.
Things Get rough

Simply stating that it is because users find convenience and authenticity in its services that makes it so popular among them.
According to Google, the Judiciary has created a wrong image of it. As of now, there is no news on whether the deal between Apple and Google will terminate or not. But if it is, both will experience a financial setback.
Some reports said that maybe Apple would acquire a new search engine company. But Apple itself has not yet commented on that. It is only the final verdict that will shape the future of the tech world.
