Installing a WordPress theme is not as complicated as many people think. What confuses people is that there are two different methods you can use to figure out how to install a WordPress theme.
Install a WordPress theme manually
First, I’ll talk about how to install a WordPress theme yourself to familiarize yourself with the WordPress structure.
To manually install a WordPress theme, you need to download the theme, which I now assume you are done.
You need to extract the WordPress theme from a folder on your hard drive. (Don’t try to forget where you put it)
You now need to open an FTP program and upload it to your site via FTP.
At this point, you need to go to the theme folder by going to the ‘wp-content folder and then to the ‘themes’ folder.
Once you are in the theme folder on your website, you need to go to the theme that you extracted to your hard drive. (Remember where you put it?)
