  • After getting into the downward-facing dog position, it is time to raise your leg, you should bring your right knee closer to your right wrist. Make sure that the other leg is spread out completely.
  • Now, your chest is touching your folded leg, and one of your legs is straight, while your hands are holding the weight of your body.
  • Bend your body in a way that your head touches the ground while maintaining the posture. After touching the ground, you can go back to the position where you were after pausing the posture for a few minutes.

Classic Pigeon Pose:

The practice of the classic pigeon pose is also similar to the resting Pigeon pose. You start by doing the downward-facing dog pose. You move your leg closer to your chest, and you keep the other leg stretched. After that, you move your head towards the ground and touch the ground and stay in the pose. You repeat the pose with the other leg for a few minutes.

King Pigeon Pose:

King pigeon pose is different from the classic and sitting pigeon pose.

  • You start by sitting on your folded legs, and you move one of your legs, unfold it and move it backward.
  • You hold this leg upwards while keeping your hand on it to provide support. This bends your leg back and then in a 90-degree vertical position.
  • You let your other hand be in front of you and keep your body straight.
  • Make your free hand move in an up and down position, and let your hand with your feet, move as an extension towards the earth.
  • This takes a little extra effort but still, it works fine and helps your body recover from the pain. You should watch tutorials or learn from a teacher about doing this pose.
