The NBA Finals will begin on Thursday, June 2nd, which will be in about 13 days from now and less than two weeks remaining until then. There are only four teams remaining and the Western Conference Finals and the Eastern Conference Finals are going on. Some teams have had tougher paths than others up to this point.
The NBA odds have constantly been changing from game to game. This is the business of the sports betting world and it is very cool to see the prices changing constantly. What are the odds for the teams that are remaining in the 2022 NBA Playoffs to win the 2022 NBA title?
Golden State Warriors: Even
The Golden State Warriors have the best odds to win the 2022 NBA title. Vegas thinks that they are going to win another championship in the Klay Thompson-Steph Curry-Draymond Green era, with Steve Kerr as the head coach.
Golden State wanted to prove to people that they weren’t done being good and winning championships, after being missing from the postseason the last two years.
The Warriors have had other various role players step up, including players like Jordan Poole and Jonathan Kuminga. This could be their last shot at a title because you never know if they will get to this spot again after they went on a stretch from 2015-2019 with three NBA titles and five consecutive Western Conference titles/NBA Finals appearances.
That is tough to do and those days are gone. However, this is probably the best team remaining in these NBA Playoffs. They are currently facing the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.
Boston Celtics +175
The Boston Celtics have the second-best odds to win the 2022 NBA title. Boston has been one of the more interesting teams in these NBA Playoffs. The Celtics over the last few games are starting to hit the three-ball and that might help them win their first NBA Championship since 2008 against the Los Angeles Lakers in six games.
Boston commits to the defensive end of the floor first under head coach Ime Udoka. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are their leaders, but role players like Marcus Smart, Robert Williams III, and Al Horford are very important to this basketball team.
They are currently facing the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Boston Celtics have been an amazing story up to this very point.
Miami Heat +550
The third-best odds to win the 2022 NBA Championship is for The Miami Heat. Miami has Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, but they don’t have much help after that. Kyle Lowry has been injured and their other role players have been inconsistent. Duncan Robinson might need to play more than he has been.
That falls on head coach Erik Spoelstra.
Tyler Herro is the Sixth Man of the Year Award winner, but he has been very streaky in these NBA Playoffs. Miami is also committed to the defensive end of the floor, but if they don’t hit shots, it isn’t going to matter though.
They have been in this position before and usually respond well with adversity and finally lost their first home game of these NBA Playoffs.
Dallas Mavericks +900
The Dallas Mavericks have the fourth-best odds to win the 2022 NBA Championship. Dallas has had a great story with Luka Doncic and a subpar supporting cast with Jalen Brunson, Spencer Dinwiddie, Maxi Kleber, and Dwight Powell, but their luck might finally run out in the Western Conference Finals.
The Mavericks are coached by Jason Kidd and it all starts on the defensive end of the floor for them. Dallas does play solid team basketball though and the Dallas Mavericks have nothing to be ashamed of making it this far into the 2022 NBA Playoffs.
They will have to make some moves in the offseason in order to get where they want to be, but it would be funny if they somehow won it all in 2022, which feels like a long shot at this point for this basketball team.
